Information we collect
Information you give us. When you text or call us, book a call, or contact us, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address, and details about your home-financing goals.
Applications. Our online application is hosted by our secure loan-origination platform. Information you enter there (which can include income, assets, employment, and your Social Security number) is collected to evaluate your loan request and is handled under our financial privacy notice described below.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.
Tools that stay on your device. The "Can I buy?" check and the payment calculators run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us unless you choose to contact us.
Third-party services on this site
Some features are provided by other companies, which may collect technical information under their own privacy policies: Google Fonts (typefaces), GoHighLevel (our scheduling calendar and the reviews display), our online application portal, and links to Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to.
How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to help with your loan or as the law requires, for example:
- With lenders and investors we submit your loan to, and with service providers involved in a mortgage (such as credit reporting agencies, appraisers, title and escrow companies, and insurers).
- With vendors who help us run our business (such as our loan-origination, scheduling, and communication platforms), who may use it only to provide services to us.
- With regulators, government agencies, or others when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you text us or give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, The Mortgage Collective may send you text messages about your inquiry, appointments, and your loan. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or loan.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide text-messaging services to us, solely to deliver those messages.
Financial privacy notice
If you apply for a mortgage, federal law (including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) gives you additional rights over how we share your nonpublic personal information. You will receive our financial Privacy Notice with your application, and that notice governs information collected through the loan process.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections on this website and a secure portal for applications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security or account numbers by text or email.
How long we keep information
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and as long as mortgage laws and regulations require us to keep loan records.
Your choices
- Opt out of texts by replying STOP, or of emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Some information must be kept to meet legal requirements, and we will tell you if that applies.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
